Our Fish

We work with suppliers committed to sustainability and independent fishermen.

Our fish comes mainly from the South West of the UK; Cod Haddock, Lemon Sole, Plaice and Hake from Newlyn. And Scallops, Mussels, Oysters, Crabs, Lobsters from our own supply boats at Exmouth.

While our Salmon, Trout, Smoked Salmon, Monkfish and Smoked Fish come from Scotland.

Fish and Shellfish are a delicate food to cook.  They have fragile flesh that requires careful handling.  You can be assured that we choose the freshest fish available and will clean and fillet them for you.  Cook the fish just long enough to set the protein and turn the fish opaque.  If overcooked, fish will become tough and dry.  We will always be happy to advise you on cooking methods and we have various Fish Cookery Books which you can borrow or browse.
